Get a behind-the-scenes look into how Nellie worked with a mom and two daughters to craft an immersive, creative, and fashion-forward trip to Paris.

Destination:

Paris

Who we were planning for:

Mom and two daughters, ages 10 and 13

How long of a trip:

7 days in country

What we knew going into the planning process
  • The family was from the east coast and had traveled in the US, but had never been to Europe

  • The mom had gotten tickets to a Taylor Swift concert in Paris for her daughters and wanted to build a once-in-a-lifetime, “blow it out” trip around that

  • They are huge foodies, so picking the right restaurants was crucial

How we worked with them to create an unforgettable trip

A trip to Paris represents the epitome of glamor and excitement. But bringing the City of Light to life in a way that truly resonates with tweens and teens can be challenging. So when a family approached us about planning an unforgettable trip to Paris for a mother and her two young daughters, we knew it was an opportunity to create something truly special. The father's only request? That though the trip revolved around the girls' interests, he would get to tag along! From the initial consultation, it was clear that fashion, cooking, dance, and finding creative ways to experience the city's iconic sites were top priorities for the mom and her two girls. We got to work curating an itinerary that catered to their desires while sprinkling in generous doses of Parisian magic.

One of our favorite hotels, Madame Reve, will act as the home base for the family. To give the kids and the parents privacy, we’ve booked connecting rooms, both of which overlook the gorgeous garden.

One of the highlights of the trip is an Instagram tour that will take them on a journey through the city's most photogenic locations. From the cobblestoned streets of Montmartre to the instantly recognizable settings of Emily in Paris, the girls can live out their influencer dreams while capturing envy-inducing selfies at every stop.

The girls also love fashion, so we booked them “skip-the-line” tickets to the acclaimed Gallerie Dior museum, offering a glimpse into the hallowed world of haute couture. We also booked them a one-hour private Louboutin shopping experience, as well as an intimate private workshop with a renowned perfumer to guide each of them in creating their own distinctive scent.

To celebrate their shared love of cooking, we booked them a private market tour and French culinary class, allowing them to explore the city's gourmet heritage firsthand. We also have them set for a walking food tour to sample the finest macarons and croissants the city has to offer.

We also ebooked them for a private treasure hunt that will challenge the family to solve clues and unravel a mystery involving a stolen Fabergé egg. This immersive experience brought the city's history and art to life for the girls in an engaging way.

Of course, no trip to Paris would be complete without a trip to the Moulin Rouge. We secured coveted tickets, ensuring the family could check this quintessential Parisian experience off their bucket list.

What else makes this a Nellie trip?
  • We adore Paris, and we know firsthand what it takes to curate a trip to exceed the expectations of a sophisticated tween and teen. We made sure every “t” was crossed and every “i” dotted.
  • We used their Taylor Swift tickets as inspiration for the rest of the trip: what would Taylor Swift do? ; )
  • We partnered with our trusted team in France who know all the ins and outs of the city and could unlock experiences not available elsewhere.
